My client, a small but successful computer software house based in Maidstone is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their team Monday - Friday 9-5:30 on a salary of £20-£25k dependent on how much experience you have in computing. This is the ideal role for a confident and communicative Graduate who has a computer related degree such as Computer Science and is looking for a role as a Technical Support Engineer to begin their career. There will be training within the role, and opportunity to progress to a Web Developer. Or this role would suit someone already in a Technical Support role. Duties: - Registering new tickets in Jira support desk - Assist with the support team to close tickets by resolving issues - Help with over the phone and online support queries, some technical and some general help with the system - Undertake testing of new software releases - Provide customer user training - sometimes at clients site Skills/ qualifications and personal attributes required: - Confidence when speaking with customers on the phone and face to face - Excellent communication skills - Keep calm under pressure as it can be a busy environment with deadlines - Well presented - Uses own initiative -Willingness to learn & progress - A degree in a computer based degree - Experience with SQL databases - Must have a car and a clean driving license Ideal attributes: - Some coding experience - not essential - Experience working in technical support already Benefits: - Standard pension - 20 days holiday plus bank holidays - Opportunity to progress - "Family" feel organisation - Small but successful business! - This firm constantly update and evolve their systems/programmes so you will always be learning the latest technologies Please apply with your CV and someone will be in touch to discuss the opportunity!
